1. Not Your Ordinary Day at the Beach

   

   With 11 different beaches in Corpus Christi and on Upper Padre Island, every family is sure to find the perfect fit. Pack the picnic basket, load up the ice chest and scoop up those sand shovels for bonding on the Bay beaches or Balli Park. If you are looking for a little more adventure, shift into 4x4 and head down to the Natural Beach. And if you find that a day isn't nearly enough time to kayak, surf, kiteboard and ride horses, pop up a tent and camp under the Island stars.

2. Sea Life

   Things that seem fishy aren't always bad, in fact, they can be great! Corpus Christi has many ways for your family to enjoy discovering the beauty of sea life. The Texas State Aquarium provides family fun below the surface. Here you can touch hermit crabs, sea urchins, stingrays, watch a dolphin show or see them in the underwater viewing room. But don't forget to bring your bathing suit because you won't want to miss out on splashing around in the zero depth water park. Or let your inner pilot take over and your imagination take flight aboard World War II's most decorated aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington Museum on the Bay with 20 aircraft, 11 decks, a MEGA theater, virtual battle stations and more!!! Enormous seapower for your eyes and ears and at your fingertips.

3. Explore the Arts

   Coastal Culture is a way of life in Corpus Christi. The Art Museum of South Texas maintains a stunning permanent collection and hosts exhibits from world famous artists. The Art Center of Corpus Christi offers opportunities for guests to create their own masterpieces. But if you would rather not get dirty, visit the many public galleries located throughout the city.

4. Discover the Outdoors

   

   Whether you enjoy land or sea, Corpus Christi has outdoor fun for all. Hop on a bike and ride down the sea wall while enjoying the beautiful views of the Bay, or rent a kayak and paddle your day away. Fishing is another favorite pastime of the locals and our Certified Wildlife Guides are here to hook you up! If you would rather leave the fish in the water, then sail out into the sunset for memories that will last a lifetime.

5. Stay Out Late

   Don't forget to bring your cowboy boots if you want to two-step, or your high heels if you want to Salsa dance. In Corpus Christi, you can do both on the same block and much more. Live music is a must with opportunities every night for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment. Brewster's Street and the Executive Surf Club are always hotspots for Spring Breakers to rock the night away!

6. Pump Up The Adrenaline

   Get your heart racing with many thrill seeking adventures. A great way to see Corpus Christi is from above and parasailing is a perfect way to go. Teenagers and college students always enjoy showing off their tricks on the half-pipe at the Skate Park. For those who prefer to go a little faster, take a spin on the professional go-kart track at Fun Trackers Family Fun Center. There are many paths to choose for your life in the fast lane, so speed up the fun this Spring Break.

7. "The Birdiest City America"

   Corpus Christi has been ranked the "Birdiest City in America" for nearly a decade. Fly on over to the Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge to see waterfowl and other natural inhabitants. Don't ruffle your feathers if you don't know what to look for; there are great signs to help you spot your bird. Also visit Blucher Park, home to many smaller species of birds. Time will fly as you enjoy nature at its best.
